Deceit card!

Growing up, all men would bloat up with pride when speaking of their wives' cooking and children would always shout out loud about how their moms were the best cooks ever and it was just so sweet to watch.

Now, slaying is such a frenzy, thousands are replacing striving for actual lifetime dreams and ambitions with a blinding need for surface visibility and so it seems, cooking has disappeared from the needs of home management. Food delivery services have since, been making a killing!

One thing I notice though is most of us , the vibrant generation of the now, comfortably don't know how to prepare a home cooked meal from scratch. A real case of ignorance being bubbled up as fancy, if you ask me! How dare you not know how to f
ill thy tummy?!

Now I can't help but wonder, who is playing the deceit card?! Is it us pretending not to know how to cook so we are not bothered to actually do it or was it the men who were covering up for their wives in generations before or was it the children glorifying their moms kitchen works because they didn't know any better? When exactly did cooking become a shame?

  1. I actually love to cook but if I have a full day of work and at the end of the day I need to make a home made meal from scratch? ,most times I dnt have the patience or the luxury of time then. I wld then prefer my chicken already dressed or make sphagetti or something that wouldn't take so long. I think most young mothers might not be cooking home meals from scratch because of similar reasons.

  2. That is definitely true. So much to do, so little time! I believe you are among the few of the now who love to cook though.

EQUALLY UNEQUAL

They call it fast food, I call it a saviour on that rare day, with a quick fix when there's nothing else to eat in the scary dark hour. ...
