The minimalist party..

Party anyone?! I really love a good party, brings people together, there's space for old friendships to be rekindled, new ones to be born, lots of inspiration to be drawn and has some of the most honest conversations.

Sounds all fun and games but if two majors are missing;- food and drink, then the beginning of the extinction of this so called party unfolds. You start noticing more silence, more footsteps, more car engines revving and no goodbyes. Now don't get me wrong, a superb party will need more than this to be crowned so but those two are the core, the heart of the minimalist party.

I had the unseen pleasure to attend one recently. I could not grade the music, the games, the guest mood or the flow of the whole celebration but to my surprise, even still, people kept flocking in and none leaving. Everyone was quietly glued to their phones with so much humility, as if waiting on instruction from a higher command.

When the food and drink got into our presence, I could see and feel that everyone had kept their hopes alive and not in vain, the food was nothing short of perfect, from the salad to the dessert. The drinks, all non-alcoholic but very catchy to the eye and real craving quenchers to the inside. The hosts were now redeemed by these two majors, they had gotten the core of the minimalist party, right.

EQUALLY UNEQUAL

They call it fast food, I call it a saviour on that rare day, with a quick fix when there's nothing else to eat in the scary dark hour. ...
