I asked myself where does this much litter come from? Who is dirtening our streets? How can we be kinder to our environment? How can we ease the load on these drainage systems that spread disease so easily? How can we be better for the climate of tomorrow for the next generation? How can we be more considerate for the cultivating soil of tomorrow that would feed our children?
So getting back to the genesis of this contamination issue, who is dirtening our streets? Is it the lady at home who throws the detergent pack on the street after washing? Is it the children throwing their books on the street after finishing a class and going onto the next? Is it the gentleman signing off cheques in his office and throwing his used pens or carbon paper onto the street? Maybe they do but it didn't seem about right to apportion the bigger blame on them because most of what I see on the streets is sweet covers, used water bottles, cake plastics, cookie tins, soda cans, potato chip bags and more and more food disposable waste.
So who really is dirtening these streets?, it's us the food eaters, those of us who grab a snack for the go or on the go. We are the real litter gang. What would the world be like if we acknowledged our littering fault? What would the world be like in the future if we each played our part by throwing the rubbish, however small in the right places? What would the world be like if eaters on the go cared more for their environment?
