A rank above...

"All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others," said Mr George Orwell. A real wiser man than his time because even at present, that quote doesn't just lie with the animal world but extends to all living, plants and animals alike. Rankings are here to stay, whether spoken or unspoken, noticed or unnoticed. Someone will always be at the top and another, last. Someone has to lead and others follow.

Since man is all about the eating and never about the producing for other species until you meet death where your flesh and bones are taken for munchies, most of your eating rides will take either a colourful or dark road from time to time. Some days you eat food and it doesn't hit any of your right spots, some days you eat food because its doctors orders really, some days you eat food because others are eating, some days you eat out of boredom, some days you will even eat just because the food is there, right under your nose, staring at you but there are those beyond blessed days, guys! when you eat food and you feel like its delivery was made straight outta heaven's doors, real 2020 manna!!!

It feels like the food's seeds or eggs were first gold plated, then fertilised or planted with CCtv camera supervision to make sure all procedure has been followed to the spacebar after the dot. The offspring was then protected from prey by motion detector wiring so that they are unphased during their beauty and ripening sleep, afterwhich they were uprooted or delivered using hands greased for hours with essential oils, transported on chariots in containers with marshmallow bedding and then cooked in an ambience of a mellow love band playing along.

I chanced on one such food today, showing itself to be a rank above! It's hard body cover protected it from losing the soul of its flavour, its flesh was soft to the touch, its taste was buttery and warm all at once, its nature was the kind not to stick in between the teeth and its colour was just right, like a fresh looking youngin, oozing out beauty and vibrance.
I don't know which farmer had so much game and love to spread, but my pumpkin today was food goals!, a rank above the rest!

EQUALLY UNEQUAL

They call it fast food, I call it a saviour on that rare day, with a quick fix when there's nothing else to eat in the scary dark hour. ...
